Our Customer Advocates will help set up your account
and provide you with a TFSA Transfer Form.
Send your TFSA Transfer Form back to us and we will
complete the transfer on your behalf.

When our Customer Advocate has set up your High Interest TFSA,
they will deposit $50 into an Ally High Interest Savings Account which
will be available once the transfer is complete. If you do not already
have an Ally HISA, we will open one for you when we open your TFSA.

Why do I need an Ally HISA for the $50 deposit?

The Canadian government currently allows you to deposit into a TFSA a maximum of $5000 each calendar year. Because we want you to be able to contribute the full $5000 if you wish to, we will deposit the $50 into an Ally HISA so we don’t affect your contribution room.

How do I get the $50 for my transfer fees?

Our Customer Advocate will deposit $50 into an Ally High Interest Savings Account when you open your TFSA. You may withdraw the $50 at any time after the TFSA transfer is complete by logging into your account at ally.ca

Can I open a Tax Free GIC?

You can open a GIC TFSA. Our Customer Advocate will help you and provide any information you need when you call to set up your transfer.

Why do I need to fill out a TFSA Transfer Form?

The TFSA Transfer Form is what we use to gather your account information from your existing financial institution. It also provides us with your permission to complete the transfer on your behalf.

Can I open my TFSA account online?

To take advantage of this offer, you need to open your TFSA through our Contact Centre at 866-247-ALLY (2559) so we can set up your account and send you the TFSA Transfer Form.
